Have you ever struggled with hair growth? Maybe you’ve been so stressed that your hair was literally falling out? Or maybe you’ve gone too far with the bleach? Have you asked your hairstylist to cut off your split ends and they ended up cutting off all of it? The list goes on for reasons why you may want your hair to grow.

5 Tips To Stimulate Hair GrowthIf you’re experiencing hair loss or just want to grow your hair back to normal again after stress, pregnancy, or a bad haircut, check out these tips.

This post does not include medical advice for people who suffer from alopecia areata or other medical conditions that cause hair loss. If you fall under that category, please consult your doctor for treatment options.

5 Hair Growth Tips

1. Minimize Styling Your Hair with Heat

I know, resisting the urge to use heat tools can be hard!

However, you don’t have to quit using heat completely, just minimize the number of times you style your hair with heat each week.

2. Try out a Scalp Scrub/Scalp Brush

A healthy scalp is essential for hair growth. Incorporating a scalp scrub and scalp brush into your routine is a game changer and will help your hair grow long and healthy.

3. Take Your Vitamins

After visiting the doctor a couple of years ago, I discovered I had Vitamin D deficiency. I had to take Vitamin D once a day for 6 months.

To my surprise, at the end of those 6 months, my hair was back to normal! My doctor said one benefit of Vitamin D is that it stimulates new and old hair follicles.

Try taking some Vitamin D! You can also take biotin or iron pills. Moreover, check with your doctor to see if you have a vitamin deficiency just to be safe.

4. Consider Minoxidil

I used 5% minoxidil about a year ago. (This is the percentage in men’s products. Women’s products contain a lower percentage and cost more.) It was a lifesaver! I even used it on my eyebrows, and they were fuller. I stopped using it, but my hair has been back to normal ever since thankfully.

5. Deep Condition Your Hair and Massage Your Scalp

Deep conditioning can help prevent damage to your hair and massaging your scalp can stimulate blood flow and help produce thicker and longer hair.

So turn up your favorite songs, relax, and deep condition those beautiful locks of yours and give yourself a head massage.
