The summer has simply flown by. And here we are getting ready for the first day of school. If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that things are always changing. Especially our kids.
I am shocked that I have a kid headed to college this year. I feel like just yesterday he was walking into kindergarten in his new shoes that he was so proud of. One of the most treasured things I own are photos of him on his first days of school from kindergarten until now. (I guess it would be overkill to show up to his college campus to snap a photo, you think?)
But of course, it’s good and right for these babies of ours to grow up. I love the following quote from one of Madeline L’Engle‘s books, Meet the Austins.
“We can’t stop the road of Time. We have to keep on going. And growing up is all part of it, the exciting and wonderful business of being alive.”
To help you document the growing up. The first day of school. The exciting and wonderful business of being alive. We’ve created these first-day-of-school printables for you.
No printer? No problem! Download the documents onto an iPad or another tablet, and have your little scholar hold that for the photos. Easy peasy! And less waste. Win win.
There are three first-day-of-school printables to choose from. Check them out below.
