Whether it’s access to education, healthcare, or necessities, these organizations make a meaningful difference in young lives daily. With our community support, we have developed this Guide to Local Charities for Children in Need.

This guide highlights some of the incredible charities in our community dedicated to helping children in need. You can get involved and impact it in countless ways, from volunteer opportunities to donation drives. Together, we can ensure that every child in El Paso has the chance to thrive.

Child Crisis Center of El Paso (CCCEP)

The Child Crisis Center of El Paso (CCCEP) is a distinguished local non-profit organization operating as a 501(c)(3) entity and proudly serving the community of El Paso, Texas. Our emergency shelter operates independently of federal funding, relying solely on the generosity of community donations. The children we serve at our shelter have often endured unimaginable hardships, and our utmost priority is to ensure their well-being by providing them with essential services. Our shelter serves as a secure sanctuary where children can regain their sense of normalcy, free from harm, hunger, homelessness, or isolation concerns.

Rescue Mission

Rescue Mission is a homeless shelter, our mission is to give people a hand up, not just a hand-out. People are welcomed to stay with us for as long as they need, they’re given a bed, three meals a day, and are guided in looking for work and support. Along with our residential shelter, we have our emergency migrant shelter (here is where we have more children and family units), DHS has partnered with us and all of our migrants come directly after being legally processed. Their stay is much shorter than those in our residential shelter since most migrants have destinations other than El Paso. They serve children.
