We have all heard the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” But what happens when finding your village —your community—proves more difficult than expected? Knowing where to turn for reliable information and support can feel overwhelming in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world. Fortunately, Help Me Grow El Paso, a new Paso del Norte Children’s Development Center initiative, is here to guide you!
About the Program
Help Me Grow El Paso is a FREE resource hub and information helpline serving as a one-stop shop for parents, caregivers, and community members who support young children. Our mission is to equip parents with the knowledge and tools to ensure their child’s healthy development.
Did you know that by age five, your child’s brain will have reached 90% of its development, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention? This means the foundation for your child’s learning, emotional well-being, and social skills is largely built before kindergarten. Access to resources during these early years is crucial, which is why Help Me Grow El Paso provides essential services to support your child’s development.
Undoubtedly, we believe parents are the true experts on their children. That’s why we promote awareness of developmental milestones and offer free developmental screenings. If you’re wondering whether your child is on track—whether it’s crawling, talking, or walking—we can help you find the answers.
What Happens When You Contact Us?
When you reach out to Help Me Grow El Paso, you’ll be connected with a trained early childhood Care Coordinator. After answering a few brief questions, the coordinator will create a personalized action plan. They will research potential resources and can even reach out to service providers on your behalf. Our goal is to remove any barriers to accessing resources and help you navigate the process.
Why This Approach?
Because we know that a child’s best chance for a healthy future starts with supporting the parents who care for them. The program model is a proven, national method for connecting children and families to resources. Trusted in over 30 states, it’s recognized for its success in providing critical early childhood support (Source: Help Me Grow National).
